I spent 2 nights in Oman. My plan was to spend the first day shooting landscape and night scape. The second day plan was to reach the south peak of Jabal Shams 3009 meters the highest peak in GCC. Unfortunately, we didn’t achieve that because we forgot the most important thing ” SUN BLOCK CREAM “. After walking almost 4 hours under the sun our skin started to smell like BBQ, then we were forced to cancel our hike.

قضيت ليلتين في سلطنة عمان الشقيقة. الهدف الأساسي من الرحلة هو التصوير الليلي والمناظر الطبيعية، وكانت لدي رغبه للوصل إلى قمة جبل شمس اعلى قمة في الخليج العربي حيث تبلغ قمة الجنوبية حوالي ٣٠٠٩ متر وتوجد قمة اخرى اعلى في نفس الجبل لاكنها تابعة لسلاح الجو العماني. للأسف لم نستطع وصول القمه للصعوبات التي واجهتنا ومنها نسيان كريم واقي الشمس. بعد مشي قرابه ٤ ساعات بدأ جلدنا يحترق و لم نستطع تكمله الرحلة
The road to jabal shams from Dubai.
Almost 450km from Dubai to jabal shams using Dubai – Al Ain road. It took me almost 3:45 hours to reach my hotel in Bahla ” Jibreen Hotel ” and driving almost 75km to reach Jabal Shams from Bahla.

مسافة الطريق من دبي إلى جبل شمس بستخدام طريق دبي العين تقريباً ٤٥٠ كيلو. قضيت حوالي ٣ ساعات و ٤٥ دقيقة للوصل إلى فندق جبرين في بهلاء، حيث يبعد الفندق مسافة ٧٥ كيلو تقريبا ً من الجبل

like always searching for the best spot possible for a dark sky and landscapes. After having our iftar me and my friend Mohamed Ahli, we posed our cameras and start to capture the sky until it turned to black. The milky way was just amazing, and the Mosquitoes were amazinger too !!!!.

كالعادة، احاول بقدر الإمكان ان اكتشف المكان الانسب للتصوير الفضائي والطبيعة . بعد تناولي الفطور ولله الحمد قمنا انا و صديقي محمد أهلي بتوجيه كاميراتنا بعد الى السماء و البدء بالتصوير حتى ظلمه السماء كلياً. وضوح درب التبانه كان ممتاز و لعسات البعوض كانت اكثر من الممتاز. نحن الآن في العشرالاواخر من شهر رمضان فلنغتم هذه الفرصه ونكثر من العبادات ونسأل الله ان يرزقنا ليله القدر وان يجعلنا من عتقائه
It was difficult for me to capture this nebula because its consist of hydrogen and my gear isn’t IR gear.
I took this image using canon 50D, and 70-200mm F/4 IS USM piggy backed on my Celestron 8″ SE.

كان من الصعب جداً تصوير هذا السديم لآنه يتكون من الهايدروجين و العده المطلوبه لتصوير هذا النوع من السدم يجب ان تلتقط الاشاعه التحت الحمراء، و للأسف عدتي لا تلتقط الاشاعه التحت الحمراء بما فيه الكفايه، واجهت بعض المشاكل ولاكن الحمدلله بعد عناء توصلت الى الحل الذي ساعدني على اظهار التفاصيل الموجوده في الصوره. استخدمت في تصوير هذا السديم كانون ٥٠ دي و العدسه ٧٠-٢٠٠ و قمت بتركيبهم فوق التلسكوب لتفادي حركه النجوم الاعدادات

During my last trip to Jabal Mebreh in Ras Al Khaimah. I was testing how would the milky way appear over the light pollution of the city. well, it did appear as we can see in the photograph. Its an amazing place for a clear sky, but yet not the darkest in UAE.

في آخر رحلة قمت بها الى جبل مبرح في رأس الخيمه. قمت بتجربه بسيطه لمعرفه هل من الممكن ان نرى درب التبانه فوق المدينه؟ او فوق التلوث الضوئي الصادر من المدينه؟ الجواب نعم !. المكان ممتاز من ناحيه وضوح السماء لاكن ليس الاشد ظلمه حتى الآن. سوف اقوم في الفترات القادمه ان شاء الله بكتابه المزيد من المواضيع العامه التي تفيد الجميع. المواضيع لن تندرج فقط في الفلك، بل ستشمل كل ماهو جديد.
Here is the Lagoon nebula messier 8 ( M 8 ) and Triffid nebula messier 20 ( M 20 ) above it. I took this image using Canon 70-200mm F/4 @ 200mm and Canon 50D. I took around 10 light, dark, bias, flat frames.
صوره لسديم البحيره ميزر ٨ او ام ٨. و فوقه السديم ام ٢٠. تم اللتقاط هذه الصوره بواسطه عدسه كانون ٧٠-٢٠٠ و كامره كانون ٥٠ دي،. لقد التقطت حوالي ١٠ فريمات ضوئيه.

Lunar eclipse will start at 9:24 PM at UAE time and the total eclipse will be at 11:22 PM till 1:02 AM. The eclipse will end around 3 AM, the total time will be around 5:30 hours. The moon will rise at 6:45PM between E – SE side. The eclipse will take place on the SE side.
